“Reliable assurance for the future“

cotedo plans charging infrastructure for all German BMW dealerships

Car dealerships require rather a complex charging infrastructure: they work with electric vehicles every day. Therefore they need safe ways of handling EVs, they need to adapt their sales and repair processes, and they must be able to assess the associated risks. Of course, they also need charging facilitites, including a sufficient energy supply. All this requires a lot of specialist know-how. This is why cotedo has been consulting all German BMW and MINI dealers since the beginning of 2021.

No less than 685 dealerships are to gain an overview about vehicle and charging technologies during an online meeting, and determine their individual infrastructure requirements. These initial results need to be substantiated during a second meeting on location. Our consultant will also review the company’s grid connection and discuss feasible clusters, cable runs, duct widths and the overall power demand, including energy management and power sources.

“An expedient charging infrastructure must always consider the specific situation of each dealership. This is the only way you can give them a reliable assurance for the future,” explains Dennis Hartmann, who leads the consulting team at cotedo. “It is important to find a custom-made solution together with the dealer. Only those who can assess their precise demands will be able to find the best solution in the confusing e-charging market.”

Safety first: a secure repair environment comprises the right equipment plus a lot of vital knowledge about hazard control. EVs also make new demands on grounds and buildings – dealers should give thought to new areas for damaged or quarantined cars, groundwater protection and insurances.

We are happy to support the dealers with our 360° concept. Thank you, BMW Germany, for once again placing your trust in us.
