Our carbon footprint – how we measure sustainability

–25% CO₂ emissions per km

100% green electricity

4 company areas
are leading the way: business travel, vehicle fleet, office energy and digital infrastructure

We were already paying attention to sustainability before it was even called that. However, corporate identity and good intentions alone are not enough: progress must be measurable. That is why we have updated our Code of Conduct and our CSR Report for 2025, specifying how we systematically record and reduce our carbon footprint. In this way, we want to make our environmental impact more transparent and be able to derive concrete measures from it.

Challenge: Making sustainability concrete and measurable

Sustainability is an important goal for many companies. But then, the path from “yeah, let’s do that” to actually measurable results is challenging, as we have discovered.

It is not at all trivial to systematically record and transparently document environmental impacts. At the same time, all measures must be integrated into everyday work, whether on business trips or in the office.

Solution: Step-by-step recording and targeted measures

We made a start by focusing on a particularly relevant area: mobility in business life. By 2027, we want to reduce our CO₂ emissions per kilometre by 25%.

To achieve this, we are focusing on, among other things:

  • Lower-emission business trips or digital meetings instead of on-site appointments

  • Sustainable mobility options for employees

  • Energy-efficient office infrastructure and green electricity

  • Climate-neutral hosting services for digital applications

At the same time, we are gradually expanding our data collection across all company processes. The insights we gain will form the basis for further prioritised measures from 2026 onwards.

Result: Sustainability with a clear perspective

By updating our Code of Conduct and our CSR Report, we are creating greater transparency about how cotedo implements sustainability in practice.

Our structured approach enables us to measure progress and develop new measures in a targeted manner. In this way, we combine ecological responsibility with economic sense, thus creating the basis for the sustainable development of our company.
